We had a great stay at Africamps! The tents were spotlessly clean, spacious, and everything is very well-organised. The nights were still a bit chilly when we were there, but we had everything we needed to keep us warm: an indoor fireplace, airconditioning, electric blankets... The breakfast and braai baskets were great and always provided on time!
The views are amazing since the proporty is on the Sabie River, and we saw hundreds of birds, some of which we'd never seen before.
The honesty shop is also very convenient to buy whatever you need, be it firewoord, drinks, food... very well-stocked.

Very good! Air conditioning was installed at the units during our stay, which was a lifesaver in the summer heat. Self check-in and check-out - greatly appreciated. The owner is friendly and helpful. It is already mentioned on this website that the road to the units is not great, but my small Honda Brio and another guest's Suzuki Espresso made it with no problems - maybe it would not be so easy in a sedan. Very little cell signal at the units, but just walking up the road a bit will give you enough. Overall, very satisfied with our stay!

Thank you for the stay.  It's always just too short.

We enjoyed Pig so much.  He was always around us, making us feel at home.  He also guided us on the walk yesterday.  The scenery on the hike was breathtaking!

Loved the River Experience

We had a wonderful stay!  Yesterday we went with Pig on the hiking trail and he was a good companion all the way.  The braai and breakfast baskets have been delicious.

We had a wonderful time here at your camp and are sad to leave already.  Thank you so much!

Maybe we are just those people who are loving life (and not big on complaining), but I can honestly say that I cannot think about one thing that needs improvement! Thank you for an amazing experience...Our kids loved Pig the dog coming to say hi and we loved the fact that we had so much privacy and flexibility around the honesty shop and check in. We would love to go back soon and would recommend you guys to everyone (I hope it doesn't get to busy so that we cant book a spot!) :)

“We had a phenomenal stay at Africamps at Mackers. You have all the luxuries you need in your tent, whilst feeling extremely close to nature. The setting is tranquil and there is an abundance of bird life. You are in an exceptional location, super close to Sabie and Hazyview but you feel completely in the wilderness. We loved the onsite shop and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back with the whole family! Highly recommend!!!”
