God's Window is truly an area of breathtaking scenic splendour. It is no wonder that Mpumalanga is known as Paradise Country.
Panorama Route - The Pinnacle and Three Rondawels
Mackers are fortunate to be located in one of South Africa's most beautiful regions. Further along the Panorama Route are more natural wonders to see.
Kruger National Park
Mackers is a mere 24 kms from the Phabeni Gate entrance to the Kruger National Park.
For day visits into the Park, Mackers is an ideal place to stay.
Panorama Route - Bourkes Luck Potholes
Well worth a day trip, meander along from Mackers, via Sabie and Graskop - 35kms north of Graskop are the Potholes. Follow the R532.
This is an extremely well presented attraction that is well worth a lengthy stop. There are nice picnic areas and the walk around the potholes is excellent - this is one of the world's largest canyons. Be sure to take your hiking shoes.
Panorama Route - Graskop
The small town of Graskop is a mere 37kms from Mackers - it is the gateway to the Panorama Route. It's a good place to stop for a Pancake at Harries - its not only a household name in pancakes, but also offers just about the biggest, most scrumptious meal-size pancakes a lá South African style.
